Amnesty International recently published a report condemning Israel, accusing it of being an “apartheid” state, guilty of “domination” and “oppression” of the Palestinians.
According to Philip Luther, who is the research and advocacy director for Amnesty International, he has a “rounded knowledge of the international human rights, humanitarian, and criminal law framework.” Is he and his organization using these “skills” to further the cause of human rights?
Sadly, it seems like Amnesty is just one among the many human rights organizations who are completely biased and who use their power for the wrong purpose: to condemn Israel.
Let’s look at a few of these human rights organizations and see what they say in regards to Israel.
B’tselem, an organization operating out of Israel, has this to say on their website:“Israel’s regime of apartheid and occupation is inextricably bound up in human rights violations. B’Tselem strives to end this regime, as that is the only way forward to a future in which human rights, democracy, liberty and equality are ensured to all people, both Palestinian and Israeli, living between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea.”
Are apartheid and occupation actually happening in Israel? Absolutely not! First of all, Apartheid is a term that is dramatically overused by human rights organizations in regards to Israel, when in reality, it solely has to do with what happened in South Africa. If you search “Apartheid” on the internet, the first thing you will see is “(in South Africa) a policy or system of segregation or discrimination on grounds of race.” Occupation? Israel won Judea and Samaria no comma (commonly known as the West Bank) from Jordan in 1967 in a defensive war. If anyone is the “occupier”, it is the Palestinian Authority and Hamas, not Israel.
Amnesty International says on their website that they “campaign for a world where human rights are enjoyed by all.” And then, right on their home page is written, “ISRAEL’S APARTHEID AGAINST PALESTINIANS.”
Peace Now, another left-wing human rights organization, says that it is “the largest and oldest movement in Israel that works to promote peace through a two-state solution and an end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.”
Just looking at Peace Now’s statement on a surface level, it appears like they truly want peace. But they know more than others that a two-state solution will never work because:
1. The Palestinians will never accept a shared state with Israel. They want the entire land of Israel, from the river to the sea.
2. It would be suicidal for Israel. Israel pulled out of Gaza in 2005, and since then, Hamas has done nothing but shoot rockets back at Israel.
We know that Peace Now and these other organizations don’t really want peace. So why do they condemn Israel? It comes from a deeper problem, anti-semitism, or if you want to call it what it is, Jew-hatred. Jew-hatred is not a new thing, but has been around since the days of Moses, when Amalek attacked Israel in the wilderness, continuing all the way through the centuries until the Nazis tried to exterminate all of the Jews.
Why do you think that the United Nations has passed more resolutions against Israel than all the other nations of the world combined? Jew-hatred. Why does most of the mainstream media paint a false picture of what is happening in Israel? Jew-hatred. And why do many of the Palestinians want Israel wiped off the map and the whole Jewish nation annihilated? Jew-hatred.
Will you do your part and speak out for the chosen people? Will you stand unconditionally with Israel no matter the cost?
