Tommy and Sherri Waller

FOUNDERS

Tommy Waller stood in the vineyards of Har Bracha in May of 2004, just weeks after his 11th child was born. The Scriptures came alive to him as an orthodox Jew and pioneer of the vineyards on the mountains of Samaria, Nir Levi, read Jeremiah 31:5 to him. Churched all his life by devoted Baptist parents & grandparents, Tommy had never experienced the physical reality of God as he did that day.

Forever changed, he returned to Tennessee where he and Sherri began the process of selling their farm in a non-electric Amish community and launching out to tell the world about the return of the Jewish people and the restoration of the Land! The church they grew up in needed to hear what they were banking their faith on!

The entire Waller family worked tirelessly to build the HaYovel organization with genuine love and heartfelt desire to see the kingdom of God return to Jerusalem. Today, many marriages and grandchildren later, the organization has grown to reach millions around the world with the truth of the special calling of the Jewish people and the Christians who stand with them in the greatest redemption of all time!

Joshua Waller

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Joshua Waller first came to Israel at the age of 14, when his family set out to establish the first Christian Zionist volunteer organization dedicated to standing with the Jewish pioneers in Judea and Samaria. At just 20 years old, Joshua stepped into leadership as HaYovel’s Operations Director, a role he carried for 13 years. During that time, he led thousands of volunteers from more than 30 nations in hands-on projects across Israel’s biblical heartland, planting tens of thousands of trees and vines, harvesting grapes and olives, pruning thousands of acres of vineyards, and serving shoulder to shoulder with Israel’s pioneers. His life’s work has been rooted in faith, action, and a deep commitment to the Land and People of Israel.

In addition to his work on the ground, Joshua co-hosts The Israel Guys show, which now reaches over 500,000 subscribers worldwide and saw more than 20 million views in 2024. Through this platform and his role as spokesman, Joshua has become a bold voice for Israel’s rightful presence in Judea and Samaria, bringing truth to the world stage and amplifying the stories of the brave pioneers of Israel's heartland. He has been featured on major media outlets, including Fox News, Jerusalem Post and many more.

On January 1, 2025, Joshua was appointed Executive Director of HaYovel and The Israel Guys. In this role, he continues to lead with vision, passion, and unwavering dedication, mobilizing Christians around the world to serve and bless the people of Israel. For Joshua, this mission is personal, faith driven and rooted in the belief that God’s promises to Israel are unfolding before our eyes.

Luke Hilton

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Born and raised in Virginia Beach, VA, Luke first visited Israel with his mom at age 16 on a trip that would change his life forever. Seeing the Bible come alive sparked a passion for Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria—the heartland of Israel. Since then, with dozens of trips to Israel, Luke has become a dedicated advocate, speaking to audiences worldwide since 2011 and traveling extensively throughout the United States, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. His heart is to see God’s Kingdom restored to Israel and to inspire millions of Christian Zionists to engage in God’s unfolding story in the Holy Land.

In 2016, Luke became Director of Marketing at HaYovel, overseeing email campaigns, social media, advertising, printing, web design, and media production. Under his leadership, HaYovel gained international airtime for The Joshua and Caleb Report, a series of episodes showcasing the land and people of Israel’s Heartland. Luke was also the original creator of The Israel Guys YouTube, a media channel with more than half a million followers and tens of millions of viewers today. He has made numerous media appearances, including Fox News, the Dr. Phil Network, TBN, CBN, and many others.

In 2015, Luke married Olivia Waller. They now have seven beautiful children and live on the Mt. of Blessing in Israel’s heartland.

Nate Waller

operations director

Nate Waller serves as the Director of Operations for HaYovel, where he provides strategic planning, vision casting, and leadership for both staff and volunteers who come to Israel to take part in the ongoing story of redemption. He also works closely with farmers and community leaders in Judea and Samaria, helping to build lasting relationships that strengthen the land and people of Israel.

Nate’s love for Israel began long before his first trip in 2005 for the grape harvest. At just nine years old, while flipping through the Encyclopaedia Britannica, he came across a picture of the Dome of the Rock. Curious, he asked his mother about it. She explained that it was a Muslim place of worship built on the site of Solomon’s Temple that had been destroyed, rebuilt, and destroyed again—but that one day it would be rebuilt once more, where God would come to rule the world from in Jerusalem. That conversation deeply stirred Nate’s heart, igniting a lifelong passion to be part of Israel’s restoration and the unfolding story of redemption for the world.

As the fifth son of HaYovel’s founder, Tommy Waller, Nate has grown up immersed in this vision. Today, his leadership reflects that same passion he carried as a child—working to see Israel’s land restored, her people strengthened, and God’s promises fulfilled.

Ben Hilton

media MANAGER

Ben was pretty much born with a camera in his hands. He traveled to Israel for the first time in 2010, which changed his life. (The trip was duly documented with the family handy cam because, of course.) Shortly after he and Luke began producing update videos and promotionals for HaYovel which led to the production of their first documentary in 2012, and first TV series in 2013.

Ben Hilton Bio Photo 2

Since then Ben has produced thousands of promotionals, TV episodes, award winning documentaries and short films, and educational videos on YouTube that have been viewed by tens of millions of people. Ben currently directs all media operations for The Israel Guys, and hosts a weekly show on the platform.

He is passionate about seeing people from all over the world come and connect to God’s heart and the reality of their faith, by getting their hands dirty in the Land of Israel

Britt serves as operations manager for Hayovel/The Israel Guys, using his giftings in management, logistics and Hebrew speaking to see projects planned thoroughly and executed well. Britt has a heart for discipleship and challenging the next generation to live wholeheartedly for God. This is evident in how he interacts with our volunteers through leading projects out in the field, and in teaching and prayer times. Britt loves leading worship with our volunteer groups as well as writing and recording new worship songs.

Britt married his wife Taryn in 2019 and they have been blessed with four children. He loves being a husband and father and working together with Taryn towards seeing Israel’s full redemption and God’s presence restored in Zion.

Randy Hilton

HR MANAGER

Randy grew up in Virginia Beach, VA. In 1980, he married his wife, Lynne, and a few years later went to work for the Department of Defense, working for the Navy, Army Reserves, and Army Corps of Engineers throughout his 33-year career. Seven years into marriage, right before he was transferred to work in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Randy gave his life to the Lord. They lived in “Gitmo” for five years, which was a pivotal time of spiritual growth for Randy. Coming back to Virginia Beach as a Christian, Randy had his family involved in many church activities, as well as helping the children with their music lessons and local youth orchestras. He also began a lawn care business with his two oldest sons so they could work together and give the boys some income.

In 2008, now with eight children, the family’s worldview and lives began a drastic change when they took their first trip to Israel with HaYovel. After several years of traveling to Israel, Randy began working to process HaYovel’s visas during the evenings while continuing his job during the day. At the end of 2014, however, he made the decision to leave his employment of 33 years and join the full-time staff of HaYovel, managing our Volunteer Enrollment department. He is also a part of the leadership team and is a community elder at HaYovel’s base in Israel. He feels immensely privileged to help bring volunteers from all over the world to serve the Jewish farmers in the heartland of Israel and is dedicated to seeing the restoration of God’s Kingdom here on this earth.

Randy’s wife, Lynne, worked for many years with HaYovel’s volunteer enrollment team, alongside her husband and children. She passed away in December 2023 after a short battle with cancer. In her memory, Randy and the HaYovel team started the Kathryn Lynne Hilton Memorial Scholarship Fund that is dedicated to bringing believers to the land of Israel every year.

Since then, he has returned countless times to volunteer with HaYovel, serving Jewish farmers, and for the past 10 years has made Israel his full-time home.  In 2011, Josiah’s family joined HaYovel’s staff, and he quickly became an integral part of the mission, both in Israel and the United States. Megan Miller

enrollment

Coming to Israel for Megan's first time, with her Mom and sister in 2006 was an answer to twenty years of family prayer, longing, and hope.  She thought it might be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but thankfully, the Lord has had many more trips planned for her and her family.

Megan and her family spent most of their growing-up years in Colorado.  She and her siblings were homeschooled, and she loved the years on their small farm with animals and gardens.

She plays violin and piano - played for several years in her local Symphony Orchestra - and teaches music lessons.  She loves to bring her violin to Israel - playing out in the vineyards, and during times of worship.

Megan is a blessed Auntie of several nieces and nephews, and loves opportunities to spend time with them and invest in their lives.

Working with and for HaYovel for many years as a grape-harvesting volunteer, and currently as the Enrollment Manager, has been another answer to prayer.  Megan is deeply grateful to be an eye-witness of God's covenant faithfulness to His Land and People, and to have a small part in the restoration of the Land.  She really enjoys meeting the volunteers and hearing their stories as she helps them through the application and interview process.   She feels very blessed to be part of the team, assisting the volunteers in the process of coming to the Beautiful Land.

Mack Waller

logistics

For as long as he can remember, HaYovel has been Mack’s life. Coming to Israel for the first time at one year old, he has been living prophecy ever since. From speaking at congregations at five years old to literally blazing new roads on the mountains of Samaria, Mack has had a wild childhood.

There is never a dull moment with Mack. If he’s not with the volunteers out in the field, he’s probably on the phone with an Israeli farmer scheduling the next project, or more likely he’s down in the shop organizing tools.

Mack Waller Profile

When the work slows down, you’ll usually find him writing a song, reading a book, or hanging out and talking with the boys on base.

What Mack loves most, though, is interacting with all the volunteers who come through and seeing them fall in love with God and His Kingdom. He has a passion for living out the Word of God and loves to challenge those around him to pursue God with radical zeal.

Leoni van Baalen

HOSPITALITY MANAGER

Leoni and her husband Deon were born and raised in South Africa, and immigrated to Australia 19 years ago to follow God’s leading for their life and raise their four precious children. In their journey to discover what modern day Israel meant to their faith, they came across the ministry of HaYovel in 2008. Their hearts immediately connected with the ministry and they came to realise that modern day Israel is a miraculous work from God in our generation and that the Bible is full of prophecy concerning this time.  The return of the Jewish people to the land of Israel and the land responding by reversing desolation to fruitfulness is the much-awaited redemption happening before our eyes.

Leoni’s desire is to devote her life to serving God by participating as gentiles from the nations in the restoration of the land of Israel and blessing its people. Since moving to Israel in January  2023, she manages hospitality and hosts volunteers, working alongside her two daughters to ensure an enjoyable stay for all volunteers and visitors.

Deon became HaYovel’s advocate in Australia in 2016 after his first visit to Israel. His desire is to devote his life to serving God by participating as a gentile in the restoration of the land of Israel and blessing its people.

Peyton Hutslar

customer relations

With her roots beginning in Amarillo, Texas, Peyton was surrounded by southern hospitality, a strong connection to God, and Christian morals. Growing up, she had the privilege of being part of a home and church that had their eyes fixed on Israel with the anticipation of when it would become the praise of the earth.

Peyton made her first trip to Israel when she was only seven years old and, from that moment on, her passion for Israel was solidified. Peyton went on her first volunteer trip with HaYovel for six weeks in the fall of 2022 and was certain that her life was destined to be wholeheartedly devoted to the restoration of Israel. After this pivotal experience, she could hardly keep away from the Holy Land; she went back to Israel two more times following those initial six weeks! She was in Israel when the war started on October 7, 2023 and, immediately, she knew that her role had become one to stay in Israel to serve, support, and encourage the Jewish people.

Peyton Chapman Bio Photo 2

With an ever-growing passion for the Land, people, and proclamation that “the Land is good,” she began serving full-time in Israel in 2023. In June of 2025, Peyton was blessed to marry her husband, Charles. They are both blessed with serving in Israel full-time alongside one another.

Charles Hutslar

MAintenance

Charles was born and raised in south Louisiana and moved to northwest Arkansas four years ago. Raised in a home where God and family were the main focus, with a love of Israel passionately instilled, Charles made his first trip to Israel in June 2023. He saw the Bible come to life in front of him.

Charles Hutslar Bio Photo 2

With a love of the Bible, a heart to serve the Jewish people, and a desire to see prophecy being fulfilled, he knew he wanted to be a part of the restoration of Israel. Charles joined HaYovel/The Israel Guys operations team in 2024 as base maintenance manager in Israel. He also manages various renovation projects and helps with hosting our volunteer teams while they are in Israel.

David Wearp

editor & I.T. Tech

For as long as he can remember, David has had a heart for Israel and has been involved, alongside his family, in supporting the Jewish people and nation. Born into a Christian home and raised in East Texas, he sees the significance of Israel and its importance in God’s plan for the restoration of all things. David’s desire to be a part of God’s work in the Land is what has brought him to Israel year after year.

He has always had a love, and some would say a knack, for things technology related—whether that be computer systems, camera gear, or even audio equipment. Now ten years and a dozen trips to Israel later, he has combined his passion for Israel with his love for technology in order to share with the world the truth of what is actually happening in the heartland of Israel—Judea and Samaria.

David serves as Head of IT and assistant video editor at Hayovel and The Israel Guys.

Tessa Waller

kitchen chef

Tessa Waller serves as Kitchen Manager, where she plays a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient kitchen operations during all volunteer trips. Beyond her kitchen duties, Tessa assists wherever needed in the operations department, contributing to the overall success and seamless functioning of the organization. Tessa not only excels in the kitchen but her talents range from dry wall mudding all the way to being trained in a few medical areas.

Her commitment and adaptability highlight her passion for the work and her ongoing support of the organization’s success.

Ryan and Ashley Cabrera

donor relations

Ryan and Ashley Cabrera reside in Florida with their 4 children and Bruni (Grandma). Their family began their journey as Volunteers with Hayovel in 2020. They served in the Pruning and on several Harvest seasons. Every year their faith and confidence grew in God's promises spoken over the Land and its people.

It began to get harder and harder for them, when it was time to transition back to home life. They desired something more while they waited for the next season to come. With Ryan and Ashley's experience in different business ventures, Hayovel thought it would be beneficial for them to help out with Strategic Relations.  Now Ryan and Ashley represent Hayovel at various events and help build and maintain relations with volunteers and donors. Ashley said, "We had no idea there were so many like minded people all over the US with the same passion to participate in this Restoration. It never gets old hearing their stories and how Hayovel and The Israel Guys have impacted them and their family."

Daniel Miller

construction

Daniel and Kate Miller, along with their three children—Dustin, Jeriah, and Kenisha—answered the call from God to move from the Amish and Mennonite community in Holmes County, Ohio, to be part of the restoration of Israel. Their journey began in 2016 when they first visited Israel and learned how modern Israel plays a crucial role in their faith. They discovered that God’s promises for the Jewish people never fail, which set them on a path to explore the roots of their faith.

In June 2024, they joined the staff at HaYovel after eight years of being pruned and prepared by God for this stage of life. They are passionate about and honored to contribute to the agricultural restoration of the land, as prophesied by Jeremiah in Jeremiah 31:4-5 and Isaiah 61:4-5.

Daniel and Kate’s desire is to stand with Israel and the Jewish people at all costs, especially during this unprecedented time in history—the greater exodus—as God restores the Jewish people to their land despite the efforts of those who seek to destroy them.

Daniel’s previous experience in construction and remodeling enables him to serve as the project manager for agricultural construction projects in the biblical heartland of Israel (Judea and Samaria).

Samuel Wilson

finance coordinator

Samuel’s life changed when he came to Israel for the first time in 2024, igniting a passion for the land of Israel. In January of 2025, he joined the HaYovel/The Israel Guys team, inspired to be a part of the restoration of God’s land.

Growing up in rural Ohio, Samuel was blessed with the opportunity to work on the family farm and in the family business from a young age, made possible by the flexibility of homeschooling. The Wilson family believes that each person is alive to do important things. For Samuel, that has become a reality, serving alongside the team in Israel.

Justin Hilton Bio Photo 2

No two days are ever the same for Samuel, and that’s just the way he likes it! Whether it be a day spent building a fence in the Jordan Valley or creating spreadsheets in the office, he’s always up to the challenge! In his spare time, Samuel enjoys tinkering on projects or spending time with the people on base.

Nothing inspires Samuel more than when volunteers come to Israel, experience the land firsthand, and make it part of their own story.
