Why is a Straw House Being Built by Young Christians in the West Bank?

Just outside Jerusalem, Nate Waller is helping build one of the most unique houses he’s ever seen — made almost entirely out of straw. But the real story isn’t the house. It’s the volunteers from Ohio, Washington, and even Canada who left their jobs and families behind to be here. Today, Nate asks them the hard questions: What made them come? What did they sacrifice? And was it worth it?

Today Nate Waller is heading just outside Jerusalem to help build one of the most unique houses he’s ever seen… made almost entirely out of straw.

But honestly, that’s not even the crazy part.

People from Ohio, Washington, and even exotic locations like Canada have traveled thousands of miles to spend their vacation making a real difference here in Israel. They left behind their jobs, their farms, their families, and their normal lives to volunteer on projects like this. Why is a straw house being built by young Christians in the West Bank?

So today, Nate is asking them a few simple questions. What made them come? What have they had to sacrifice to be here? And after everything they’ve experienced…

Why do they believe it’s worth it?
