800 Missiles Fired At Israel in Four Days – Israel is Standing Tall

After Israel eliminated three senior leaders from the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist organization in Gaza on Tuesday, the group responded by launching massive missile barrages at the Holy Land. Although Israel leads the world in their ability to launch precision strikes against their enemies (they are able to target one specific room in an apartment building), they have still been the recipient of media attacks from outlets all over the world, due to Palestinian Arab civilians also being killed as a result of the strikes.

Ironically, out of the 800 rockets that have been fired by PIJ in the last four days, nearly one fourth of those have fallen short and landed inside the Gaza Strip. So far, several Palestinian Arab civilians have been killed by the rockets fired by their own people, including a ten year old girl.

A large number of Israeli citizens have been evacuated from their homes in the south, as not only are missiles being fired at the cities located close to the Gaza Strip, but are also being shot at Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Thankfully, there have been few casualties on the Israeli side. Several buildings have been destroyed by direct hits from rockets, and yesterday, after an apartment was struck in the coastal city of Rehovot, one Israeli man was killed and five others injured.

Since taking out the initial three PIJ terrorist leaders on Tuesday, Israel announced they have eliminated two more senior members of the organization. The terrorist-controlled Gaza Strip has vowed to not enter into negotiations for a cease-fire, while on Israel’s part, they are determined to take any and all necessary measures to defend their land and people.

Unsurprisingly, international media networks and world governments have been quick to condemn Israel instead of Palestinian Islamic Jihad. They claim that Israel is responding to the direct attacks from Gaza with disproportionate force due to civilian lives being claimed. This is despite the fact that before Israel strikes a building in Gaza, they call everyone in the vicinity, warning them to leave, and take even unprecedented measures to ensure that minimal innocent lives are lost. You can watch a video of Israel’s air force at the exact moment they decided to cancel a strike because two children were spotted in the nearby vicinity.

Also unsurprisingly, the UN called an emergency meeting of the Security Council to discuss and address the attacks from Gaza. While there has been no official statement as a result of the UNSC session (it was closed to the public), the U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres issued a statement on Wednesday, calling on Israel to:

“…abide by its obligations under international humanitarian law, including the proportional use of force and taking all feasible precautions to spare civilians and civilian objects in the conduct of military operations.”

Guterres also condemned the PIJ for striking Israel, saying in a statement:

“…the indiscriminate launching of rockets from Gaza into Israel, which violates international humanitarian law and puts at risk both Palestinian and Israeli civilians….”

Evidently he didn’t even have the courage to call out Palestinian Islamic Jihad by name, and he obviously places Israel and PIJ on the same level, calling for both sides to not violate international law, even though that charge against Israel is grossly false.

This coming week, the UN General Assembly will mark Nakba Day, mourning the creation of the state of Israel and the fact that they happened to win when they were attacked by five Arab armies.
While Israel is under attack, there is a growing movement that is now close to 10 million of Christians all over the world who are participating in the Isaiah 62 Fast from May 7th – 28th. A massive wave of international support from Christians who love Israel could not come at a better time, and we encourage all of you to participate.
