Greetings: If the You Tube video I saw advocating for incoming President Trump to bring oversight to building a temple on the Temple Mount perhaps that thought of a temple sooner rather than in a little while might be a bit premature.
The reason that the temple construction may await a future time is that there appears to be several Bible prophesies that might precede the temple being built. The fulfillment of Isaiah 17 is the first prophecy where among other things Isaiah describes the destruction of Damascus.
The second prophecy that appears to be on the horizon that could possibly preceded a temple is even more significant.
Ezekiel 38:19-20 says:
For in my jealousy and in my blazing wrath I declare, On that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. The fish of the sea and the birds of the heavens and the beasts of the field and all creeping things that creep on the ground, and all the people who are on the face of the earth, shall quake at my presence. And the mountains shall be thrown down, and the cliffs shall fall, and every wall shall tumble to the ground.
In this prophecy it appears that the Lord will shake things up a bit and could possibly provide a pretext for construction of the awaited temple.
I am not insisting that the above prophetic references must precede the temple only that the area never and perhaps a little farther away from Israel would be cleared out so that the Sons of Jacob may return and have a place to reside at.
