On the Ninth of Av, Judaism’s saddest day, unusual and unexpected events unfolded on the Temple Mount in Israel. This year’s observance felt markedly different, leaving a surprising and memorable impression.

Yesterday was the Ninth of Av, traditionally the saddest day for Judaism. This year in Israel, however, felt different. I saw things happen on the Temple Mount yesterday that I have never seen before. It was actually kind of crazy.
